Sauvie Island Center Field Trip!

On Thursday, the nineteenth, we went on a field trip to the Sauvie Island Center! We learned about flowers and got to play some games on the farm like, Guess the Honey, and Taste Test! We tried the honey and guessed which flower it came from. Taste Test was when we got to try anything in the edible section. There were flowers that were edible but a classmate of mine ate them all. Some of the edible flowers tasted like black licorice! We were able to harvest apples from the orchard and take them home, or just eat them right then and there! We got to go into the just harvested corn field and got to take home some leftover corn from the harvest. They let us try some spicy herbs and let us pick carrots from the compost pile. We ended the Field Trip by making a circle and going around and telling what we liked most.

Lincoln's Book Review of The Fellowship of the Ring

If fantasy's you're game than The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R.Tolkien is the name of the book you want to read.In this book Frodo, a young hobbit, obtains a highly possessive golden ring and Gandalf a wizard tells him to travel to Mt. Doom to destroy it before saurons servants steal it. I like this book because it is fantasy and has lots of action. It's really creative and gripping. If you love fantasy read this book. It will have you on the edge of your seat. The ring demands it.

Graycen's Book Review of Divergent

Do you like action and adventure? If you do, then I think you will like the book Divergent by Veronica Roth.

Sixteen-year-old Beatrice Prior lives a simple, selfless life in Abnegation, but when choosing day comes up that will all change. Beatrice finds out she's divergent, and her whole world changes.  She only has one hope -  a year-old boy named Four.

This book is one real page turner. I just couldn't stop! One night I was up until ten o'clock. The genre's a lot like The Hunger Games. Divergent takes you on unexpected twists and turns.

I love this book for so many reasons, but one is that...read the book to find out.
